Four junior riders from Witham Wheelers recently represented the club at the Lincolnshire Youth Go-Ride Grass Track Championship at the annual Heckington Show. Wheelers’ riders Amy, Isla & Max Kolbert, and Sam Grundy, were joined by Fenland Clarion riders Harry Tozer and Bentley Anthony in a very strong team performance.
Stand-out rides came from sisters Amy & Isla, taking first and second respectively in the Girl’s sprint, before reversing that order whilst working together in the longer scratch race. All riders showed their class in the Team Pursuit with a technically excellent ride taking the team to a superb second place overall behind a very strong Sleaford Wheelers team.
