After last weeks 8.0 mile Road Bike taster event witham Wheelers held the first of their 10 mile Time Trials in dry and calm but cold conditions for the time of year, which left riders struggling to get upto speed.
Fastest rider this week was Simon Cocker 26.06 just holding off Barry Moulder by 9 seconds after Brry experienced some mechanical issues just after turn 1. Third was Matthew Kingston-Lee the first of the standard road bike riders.
Amy Kolbert was again quickest of the ladies in 28.17 ahead of sister Isla 30.06 and Julie Clark 30.13
Next week it’s another 10 mile TT, register to ride from 6.00pm at the Cricket Club on Gorse Lane with first rider starting at 7.00pm, all welcome to come and have a go.

Martin Lister rode the VTTA East Midlands 10 mile TT on saturday afternoon recording 24.39 for 42nd place. The winner was Alex Pritchard (Hubb Wattshop) in a very rapid 18.28
