Witham Wheelers held there third all Road Bike Time Trial on an 8.4 mile circuit starting on Gorse Lane, up to Croxton kerrial and back via Saltby and Hungerton.
A reasonable turnout of 13 riders on a very warm evening but the stong easterley breeze again made for a tough 3 mile finish from Saltby with riders recording similar times to a month ago.
Fastest rider on the night was Matthew Kingston-Lee in 21.41 with Neil Sentance improving to second in 22.18 and veteran Simon Cocker third in 22.40. Junior Amy Kolbert 23.03 was again fastest lady from Carol Milne 25.05 and Kim Flower 25.25.
Schoolboy Sam Grundy showed the biggest improvement of 2.26 on his last ride on this course in April and also taking family honours with dad Gerard recording 26.09.
Next week it’s a 24 mile TT over 2 laps of the club Road race circuit, with the option of 1 lap (12 miles) if preferred. Register to ride from 6.00pm at the Cricket Club on Gorse Lane with first rider starting at 7.00pm, all welcome to come and have a go.
