£150 was raised by the Raffle which has been donated to the National Trust Plant Trees charity in memory of John Hill who passed away last year, as suggested by his family.
John Hill was a long time club member, an old school Cycle Tourist who would think nothing of riding to York and back in a day. He also enjoyed Touring around Europe with his wife Christine on their tandem and also organised family camping weeks around the OK, of which senior members of the club have many memories.
A good night appeared to be had by all at the annual club BBQ at the new venue of Wyville cum Hungerton village hall, a lovely location. Good turnout of club members, families and friends who enjoyed a BBQ (thanks Dave Beckett) and a chance to relax and have a chat, with no lycra in sight. We also raised a few pounds for charity with a raffle.
