Karl Baillie raced in the latest round of the Junior National series this weekend in the Loughborough University road race. Despite being aggressive throughout the race, with once again great home support, Karl missed out on the 2 winning breaks that merged together on the penultimate climb of Harby Hill.
On the final lap the leading break split with GB national Junior riders Matt Gibson riding clear for the win and was followed home by East Mids rider James Shaw who maintains his lead in the National Series.
Karl rode hard to finish at the top of Harby Hill for 22nd place. After a series of good performances in the national series this season this was Karl’s last race for Pedal Pushers this season as he is moving on to the top Junior development team Haribo-Beacon.
