First Report from the club Open 10 today, the morning rain cleared away to leave warm dry conditions with a blustery cross wind just to keep it honest.
Quite a good field of 71 entries with a great turnout from club riders with 27 entered.
Winner on the day Jim Boyle Cherry Valley 21.36 with Ian Dalton (Cherry Valley) 2nd 21.52
Club times listed below with Karl Hunt taking the John Edwards Trophy for fastest club rider in 22.23 by a mere 1 second from John Pilgrim as 10 riders recorded sub 24 minute times, which must be a record and shows a real improvement in standard. The ladies also showed improvement with Jen McAndrew doing very well for 24.30, Lara Thornhill 26.15 Carol Milne 27.35 and Suzanne Holdsworth 28.45 recording big personal best times .
Well done to Martin Hedley in organising his first open event and all the helpers who marshalled, time keeped, signed-on and served tea and cake.
