Karl Baillie has finished the National Youth Circuit Race Series in an outstanding 2nd place overall. The win was well out of reach as Joe Holt of County Cycles Race Team showed great consistency through the year to take the series by a comfortable margin. After the final round at Scarborough it came down to 2 points between Karl and Joey Walker of RST Racing Team but thankfully it went in Karl’s favour.
After performing consistently at a high level through the year Karl has also been invited to attend British Cycling’s Olympic Development Programme selection camp on the 6th and 7th October at Newport. He is not raising any hopes of getting onto the programme as he realises how difficult it is to get on as a first year junior but is really pleased to have been given the opportunity.
