The latest round of the East Mids Road Race league was held locally on a nine mile circuit near Wymondham.
In the morning race for 2nd and 3rd category riders over 6 laps a break on the first lap by ex Witham Wheeler Peter Cocker (Richardsons Trek) proved to be the catalyst for the race winning move as this consolidated into a 6 man move on lap 2 including Reece Egner (Witham whs).
Over the penultimate climb of Market Overton Hill, Peter and Sam Llewelyn ( Team PB Perf) broke away to hold onto the finish with Sam taking the final sprint for victory. Reece held on to take a good 6th with the points gained ensuring his 2nd category licence for another season. Brother Adam Egner finished 27th as the bunch broke up over the closing laps in the windy conditions.
