3 riders made the long journey up North to Barton to take part, Mark Colclough, Rob Johnson and Peter Barnes.

There was a total field of around 80 riders, and all three wobblies rode in group 3, which had between 20 and 30 riders.

The pace was high throughout and groups 1 and 2 were caught before 2 laps to go from the 7 and three quarter laps.

At the bell the pace was just too high for Peter Barnes and the group pulled away without him. Shortly afterwards, the scratch group came past and joined with the lead group to contest the sprint. Peter rolled in a few minutes down on this with Mark further ahead in a group that had been dropped.
