Second round of the handicap league over 7 laps of a 4 mile circuit which includes a short but steep climb up the Lincoln edge. A good turnout of club riders in the 80 rider plus field but at the time of writing final positions have still to be  published.

Simon Cocker rode in group 2 which showed the benefits of working well together and soon caught group 1 for 3 minutes and with a 3 minute start on group 3 they weren’t caught until 2 miles before the finish when 2 riders came from through from the scratch group with more of the scratch group riders fighting there way past on the narrow lane up the hill just before the finish. Jim Coleman (PedalPushers) got through for 5th place with Llewey Byrne (gp 4) not far behind for a possible top 10 with Simon hanging on to finish in around 20th. Also taking part Martin Milne, Paul Conneely, Rob Johnson and Peter Barnes in gps 3 and 4.
