Karl Baillie (Haribo-Beacon) raced in the Keizer Des Juniores in Belgium. It was a UCI stage race that consisted over 3 stages in 2 days with riders from 10 different nations in a field of 198 riders. The first stage was going well with Karl riding towards the front but sadly was taken out in a big crash with 5km to go but had a soft landing and finished the stage where 50 others didn’t. The second stage was a 5.8km time trial. Karl finished just over a minute down on the winner but was never going to challenge the leaders without a time trial bike available. In the last stage rain made for a race full of crashes on a technical circuit but Karl managed to stay upright and finish in the bunch
