Karl Baillie (Haribo-Beacon) had a disappointing Junior Tour of Wales after coming down with a chest infection. He struggled through the 5 stages with the highlight being stage 2 in which he broke away on his own and kept away from the main field until halfway up the final climb to the finish. His team did finish 2nd on the team classification at the event.
The week later Karl raced in both the 2/3/4 and E/1/2 races at the Scarborough Festival of Cycling at Oliver’s Mount. Still struggling Karl managed to take 9th in the elite race. Karl is now 7 points away from his 1st cat license which he hopes to get before the end of the season
