Karl Baillie (PedalPushers) raced in the Junior Cicle Classic in the latest round of the Junior National Road Series at the weekend round in Oakham. With the off road section down Barrow Lane and a field of over 100 riders it made for a tough, unique and chaotic race. With plenty of local support (that was us 20+ riders on the club run, great turnout) Karl kept out of trouble near the front of the race and riding strongly. Placing himself well heading into the technical finish and he took a well deserved 8th place in the bunch sprint. With 3 top 10 finishes in the first 3 rounds Karl now sits joint 2nd overall in the Junior National Road series standings.
