23rd March – BBM Revolution Road Race – Pollington

Peter Cocker rode the 55 mile 2/3 category race just North of Doncaster. 9 laps of a 5.5 mile flat circuit was made tough by a strong cold cross wind. After a a few early attacks a strong working group of 4 riders including his PedalPushers team mate Julian Ramsbottom established a small lead on the third lap. The lead hovered around the 30 second mark for lap after lap and as they took the bell it looked like the break would stay away. However as they came into sight of the finish the break was caught, except for James Sharp York Cycleworks RT who hung to win by 10 seconds. In the big bunch sprint finish Peter took 6th overall with Julian slipping back to 11th as his earlier efforts told.
