John Pilgrim finished his season off with his final two rides this past week, the first being the RTTC National 10 mile Championships on Sunday the 30thof August on the K41/10 course at Hinckley, Leicestershire. A very strong field left him in 113th place with a time of 22:29 – a 4 second improvement on that course from earlier in the year with conditions not as favourable this time.
 Winner on the day was Richard Bussell of RST Sport/Aero-Coach with a course record of 19:36.
 He then travelled to Denmark for the UCI World Cycling Tour Time Trial Final held in Hobro on Thursday the 3rd of September having qualified for this event earlier in the year at the Tour of Cambridgeshire. The course was 0n closed roads, 18km route for with quite a undulating and technical mid-section sandwiched between two long climbs.
 The event was televised in Demark and also streamed live on the internet via YouTube. John was given the number 13 to ride with and having turned every reference of it upside down much to the bemusement of the Danish commissaires and completed the course in 27:59 good enough for 43rd place in his age group category of 19-34, and 252nd overall.
 Johns age group was won in a time of 24:52 by Grégory Cassini of France.
 Next year the final will be held in Perth, Australia with the UK qualifying once again taking place at the Tour of Cambridgeshire.
