On Saturday Rick Yates competed in the VTTA (North Midlands) 25 starting at Carlton on Trent.  The course travels southbound on the A1 past Newark to turn through Long Bennington then retraces north to finish at Cromwell.Â
The riders faced a nagging breeze from the south west on the way out which was a little blustery at times but was much more helpful on the return leg.
Rick returned a time of 56-14, a PB by 1min 20sec which placed him 12th of the 67 starters, with 27 of those achieving sub 60 minute rides.
Fastest on the day was Nick Cave of Lutterworth Cycles RT in 51.26 narrowly beating Lee Tunnicliffe of Clay Cross RT by 1 second
