Great turnout by club riders for the annual battle against VC Lincoln, Sleaford Whs and Newark CC, over 3 laps of  an 8 mile rolling circuit near Farndon Newark. The rough road surface, frequent junctions and little drags meant that there were going to be no superfast times on this course.

Witham Wheelers retained the trophy on the night but only on a technicality after two Sleaford riders were ruled ineligible as they had not entered on time, not a very satisfactory way of winning the trophy but rules is rules.
