Dave Moulds and Gary Symons made the journey down to Thetford Forest to compete in round 2 of the Thetford Winter Series mountain bike race.
Weather conditions were changeable however both riders were pleasantly surprised to see how dry the 7 mile course was during their pre race practice lap.
When the race got underway Dave made his now customary fast start and was finally joined and passed by Gary at the end of the first lap. During Lap 2 the heavens opened with icy cold heavy rain making the course very slippery in places. Thankfully it soon ended and the course firmed up again. Both riders stayed in contact for most of the race doing similar lap times with Gary pulling out a small gap toward the end of the last lap.
Both riders were entered in the Vets (40+) category. Gary finished in 16th place and completed 4 laps in 02:18:51 Dave finished in 22nd place and also completed 4 laps in a time of 02:21:37
