Good turnout of 47 riders for the Witham Wheelers 10 mile time trial championships. The rain kept away but a brisk westerly wind made for a tough ride on the drag upto the second turn and times were generally a little down on previous weeks.
Quickest rider on the night was Peter Cocker (pedalPushers) in a rapid 22.01 just 3 seconds outside his course record. Second overall and winner of the senior club championship was Karl Hunt in 23.07 some sixteen seconds ahead of John Pilgrim with Gary Symons just one second further back.
Fastest Lady Jennifer McAndrew 26.34 pushed reigning champion Lara Thornhill 27.23 back into second with Louise George third. Reece Egner was first Junior in 24.33 with brother Adam leading Youth rider in 24.55 from Rober McAndrew 30.35 and Ehren Courtman 3rd in 34.42.
Next Tuesday 17th its back to the 10 Mile time trial league, sign on at the cricket club on Gorse Lane by around 6.30, all welcome.
