Witham Wheelers held the second of their early season Reliability rides on Sunday in unusually mild conditions for the time of year. However a strong westerly wind made for a difficult first half of the 40 mile route, out to Whissendine via South Witham before being blown home from Waltham on the Wolds. All the groups rode well in the conditions, keeping together to average speeds of 15.4, 17.1 and 19.1mph.
Sunday 20th Jan week 3 it’s another 40 mile route, with a shorter 30 mile route option. It’s a scenic but challenging route heading out into the Vale of Belvoir taking in the climbs at Harby, Stathern and Denton. Meet at the Cricket club on Gorse lane with the first group leaving at the earlier time of 9.00, further details on the club website, all welcome and refreshments available at the finish.
