Witham Wheelers held their annual round of the Lincolnshire Cyclo-Cross league on farmland near Stroxton, many thanks to Madge Farms for their ongoing support, allowing these events to continue.
The course this year had a lot of positive feedback, with a new wooded section adding some variety to the usual fast flowing field sections. Conditions on the day were good, dry but early morning fog hung around until midday restricting visibility for spectators until finally clearing in time for the final senior race.
The under 16s race was won by Toby Carpenter (VC Lincoln) with Sleaford Whs riders first both the Under 9s -Esme Turner and Under 12s – Louis Thompson.
The seniors now race in a combined race with the veterans over 50 minutes, with regular local winner George Thompson (Rose Race Team) first overall. Of the club riders Nick Parkin 20th Overall (8th Vet 40) and Simon Cocker 26th Overall (3rd Vet 60)
Well done to all the club volunteers for making the event a success, its quite a labour intensive course in terms of staking and taping out, plus clearing the new wooded section this yeatr.
