For riders who are contemplating entering the Scunthorpe RC Open 25 and Open 50 time trials this year, the following is a notice from the Lincolnshire District of the CTT reference these events.
 SCUNTHORPE RC OPEN EVENTS 25m and 50m

Can you please make your members aware that the bridge affected by temporary traffic lights (due to have been removed by end of July last year) are still there.

On investigation, it has been found that this could be the situation for 4-5 years whilst a new bridge is built instead of remedial work on the existing one (as we understand it).

The Scunthorpe RC are working hard to find alternative courses and venues, but this is not an easy job.
We will keep you updated, but please be aware of the situation.

Affected events are the 31st May 25m and the 5th July 50m.
Club note
It should be noted though, that the 25 on 31st May, is the same day as the Notts Clarion 50 which a number of Witham Wheelers rode last season and is based on a course in the Harby, Bottesford, Bingham area.
Also the 50 on 5th July is the day after our own Open 25 on Saturday 4th July, which many of you no doubt have booked in your diary already to either ride, (entries £8 on a CTT entry form to Tony Hardenberg or enter via the CTT website), or perhaps you are already planning to volunteer your assistance with the event on the day.
