2014 Autumn Update
One Correction – the Annual dinner is at Belton Golf Club Londonthorpe – not Belton Woods
One Change – Hill Climb and Freewheel competition is now scheduled for the 14th September to avoid a clash with the start of the Cyclo-Cross season at Ancaster and Velo 99 races etc.
 Autumn Dates
As the time trials finish and before the Turbo sessions start the Cricket Club will continue to be opened on Tuesday evenings. Through September we will have a group ride taking in a lap of the Road race circuit, at a pace to suit everybody, In October Tuesday we will have club nights which will hopefully be of interest to club members. Every night there will be the opportunity to just come along and have a drink and a chat. Doors open at 7.00pm

Tues Sept 9th        Group Ride Leave Cricket Club 6.45 (bring lights)
Sun Sept 14th   Club Hill Climb and Freewheel Championships – 11.00 am Harby Hill. meet to sign on for the start at the bottom of Harby Hill. This is followed by the Freewheel competition to see how far you can go back down the hill.

Sat/Sun Sept 27th/28th – 2 day 4 stage race centered at Woolsthorpe Village Hall for 2/3/4 category riders a crack WW team is taking part, go an lend your support

Sun Oct 5th    Viking Challenge Off Road ride
Tues Oct 7th   Club night  Bring and Buy – your chance to sell/buy those bits of unwanted cycling related gear, clothing, books or DVDS. There will also be a chance to purchase items from the stock of club clothing.
Sun Oct 12th – Caythorpe Chase Off Road ride
Tues Oct 14th – Roller night, either bring your own Rollers or bring your bike and borrow some on the night and have a go. A demonstration of what Rollers can bring to your cycling. Further Roller evening to be organized during the winter, dates to be confirmed.
Sat Oct 18th – Setting out Cyclo-Cross Corse – help required, 10.00 am at Stroxton field.
Sun Oct 19th – Club Lincs League Cyclo-Cross at Stroxton – if you are not riding please come along and help out, first race 10.30
Tues Oct 21st – Â Basic Bike Maintenance evening
Tues Oct 28th – Free night, just come along and have a chat

BBQ
The club BBQ 10 raised £481.00 for Kidney Research well done to all those who put in the hard work to make the evening such a success, especially Christine Edwards and Dave Beckett, it was great evening both in terms of raising money and as a social get together for the club.
 Go-Ride
Great work by Tracey McAndrew, Frank Snyder and Peter Cocker in keeping the Go-Ride coaching sessions going on this summer, both at the Cricket Club and Fulbeck. It is planned to keep these going through the winter, further details will be announced when the logistics are finalized.
Coaches required
To maintain the momentum of the Go-Ride sessions, we  need more members to come forward to get qualified through the British Cycling coaching scheme to help spread the load. Courses are available to suit all levels of knowledge, the main requirement being enthusiasm. If you are interested and want to know more details please let me or Tracey McAndrew know.

New Club Treasurer required
After counting the clubs money for several years Matt Pennifold wants to step down this year as Club Treasurer due to other commitments. If there is someone out there who feels they have the necessary skills and would like to contribute to the future of the club please discuss with Janet East.
 Membership
Currently total membership of the club stands at 183, which has to be a record of which 70 hold some level of British Cycling membership.
 Items for the AGM Agenda
Now is the time to start thinking if you want to make any changes to the club constitution or have any thoughts about what events the club promotes or facilities it has for members. If you have any ideas that you would like to put on the agenda for the AGM (Tues 2nd  Dec) let me or any member of the committee know.
