Raising money for children’s brain tumour research
In the UK, brain tumours are the largest cause of children’s cancer deaths, yet only 2% of cancer research funding has been focussed on this area. Real progress is being made in diagnosing earlier and improving survival rates but there is so much more that our leading edge researchers want to do. By taking part in the Life Cycle rides and raising sponsorship you will have a genuine impact on saving, and improving, the lives of young brain tumour sufferers and their families in the UK and globally. From the moment a patient realises something is wrong, through diagnosis, treatment and recovery, research is there guiding and informing the work of healthcare professionals to bring new hope to brave young children.
I look forward to welcoming you to Lakeside Arts Centre on Sunday 31 August!
Best wishes,
Jen
