Harry Browning, Llewey Byrne and Reece Egner represented the Wheelers at the 2 day stage race in Belvoir.
The first day started with a 5 mile team time trail in which they didn’t fair particularly well, a minute down on the leaders. Llewey still feeling the effects of injury decided to call it a day.
The afternoon saw a 37 mile road race ascending Harby Hill 3 times. An aggressive race saw Harry being particularly active but missing the main move. With the finish approaching Harry did his best to try and pull the break back for a sprint. Almost catching the break, Reece sprinted for the line to take a credible 8th with Harry just coming in behind the bunch as a result of his efforts.
The second day saw a 50 mile road race tackling stathern hill 5 times. Harry again was active getting in a break with one lap to go which nearly stayed away but the race leaders sensed the danger and chased it down. At the finish Reece took 27th with Harry not far behind.
The final stage was a 2 mile time trial Harry and Reece both recording similar times and placing well in the top 20. Overall an enjoyable weekend.
