On a cold and breezy course a few miles south of King’s Lynn, Martin Lister and Rick Yates represented the Club in Wisbech Wheelers’ Open 25. The course was run over 2 laps of a 12(ish) mile out and back stretch of the A47 dual carriageway, ranging in altitude from a mighty 2m to 4m above sea level! Although it did appear uphill in both directions, this was probably due to being able to see the curvature of the earth on the long straights.
What was forecast to be a light head to cross wind on the first and third legs turned out to be significantly more troublesome and certainly slowed some riders more than expected.
Times recorded were:
Rick Yates – 57-25
Martin Lister – 1-6-23
Fastest rider on the day was Daniel Bloy of Team Velovelocity with 52.33.
