Witham Wheelers held there first club Time Trial of the season for Road Bikes on an 8.4 mile circuit starting on Gorse Lane, up to Croxton kerrial and back via Saltby and Hungerton.
An encouraging turnout with 19 riders including experienced riders and quite a few newcomers, hopefully the tough conditions won’t deter them from riding next week, it will get better.
Fastest rider on the night was Reece Egner 19.26 a clear 50 seconds ahead of brother Adam. Not far behind in third new club member Darragh McBride in 20.41.
Standout ride on the evening was by Junior Amy Kolbert showing the benefits of a good winters training in 5th overall with 23.50 a big improvement on last year.
2nd Lady was Kim Flower 26.13 another first timer and 3rd youth rider Isla Kolbert 26.41.
Afterwards it was back to the cricket club to warm up with a hot drink and cake.
Next week it’s a 10 mile TT, register to ride from 6.00pm at the Cricket Club on Gorse Lane with first rider starting at 7.00pm, all welcome to come and have a go.
