Witham Wheelers held there annual dinner and prize presentation at the Old Barn Hotel at Marston. After the meal there was a talk by Ed Pratt a young man who set out on a 36″ wheel Unicycle to pedal around the world in 2015, which took him over 3 years, many details of which can be found on You Tube. With slides, videos and the unicycle in question for inspection, this was a very entertaining talk and could have gone on for much longer if time had allowed. A true British eccentric in every sense of the word.
After a short interlude trophies were presented to the clubs 2018 award winners present on the evening. There was also a vote for Club person of the year, which went to Ian Rayson in recognition of his support for club events during the year.
Many thanks to Paul Green for stepping forward to organise a very enjoyable evening.

Witham Wheelers Annual Dinner & Awards January 26th 2019
2018-19 WW Dinner Booking Form
To Be Held at Ramada Resort Grantham – The Old Barn Hotel, Marston, Grantham. NG32 2HT
2019 will mark a change of venue and format for the Witham Wheelers Annual Dinner & Awards which will be held at the Ramada Resort Grantham ( The Old Barn Hotel Marston ) on Saturday January 26th.
For this year we will have a new format for the dinner and awards as well as the opportunity to complete the evening dancing your hearts away celebrating the successes of the year.
Our speaker for the evening is someone we are hugely looking forward to welcoming. 23 year old Ed Pratt has recently completed a 3 year ride around the world covering 22000 miles and raising over £300,000 along the way. He is a YouTube star and has been featured on the hugely popular GCN Show . Ed completed his crazy journey on his 36” wheeled Unicycle and has some wonderful stories and a true adventure to tell us about. His story will appeal to young and old. Ed will tell his engaging story with a sense of fun whether you’re a cyclist or not.
We will enjoy a fabulous meal and celebrate the Club Champions young and old in their years success – with a few surprises along the way .
This year is the ideal opportunity to bring partners and families to enjoy the new format event
There are rooms available with use of leisure facilities ( special rate ) if you would really like to make a night of it and stay over.
WW are looking at arranging some additional transport to the event which will follow separately
