The 6th round organised by Lincoln Whs in the grounds of the Police HQ at Nettleham is always one of the best supported events pulling in riders from outside Lincolnshire, with an enjoyable mix of fast flowing grass field with some technical single track through woods and small climbs and drop offs.
In a big field of 42 riders in the under 16s Amy Kolbert was 28th overall and 5th U14 girl and Ethan Wakefield 38th.
Under 9s Noah Lane 6th, Annabelle Gould (3rd girl), Max Kolbert 11th, Oliver Wix 13th, Thomas Wakefield 15th, Jacob Crowley 24th, Harriet Bailey 30th, Charlotte Crowley 35th
Under 12s Oliver Bailey 13th, Joshua lane 16th, Isla Kolbert 16th (2nd girl), Samuel Grundy 21st, Samuel Crowley 25th.
The veterans saw 103 riders take to the start line, which was really too many for the course, creating a big bottle neck on the first lap, making it difficult for some riders to move up on such a fast course. Local riders seemed to fair badly on the first lap with Paul Conneely back to 40th overall (9th vet 50), Sean East got a good start and without any mechanicals this week finished 50th overall. Simon Cocker also lost time on the first lap finishing in 67th (5th Vet 60) with Dave Miller 93rd (19th vet 50).
In the seniors there was race long battle private battle between the Egner brothers, with Reece getting the better start before Adam slowly pulled him back and went on to finish 10 seconds in front for 14th and 15th overall respectively. The winner was series leader George Thompson of Sleaford Whs).
With more ladies riding every week, the racing is becoming more competitive. Julie Clark again rode smoothly keeping her main rival for the veterans league in sight throughout the race, just getting the best of her on the last lap for 12th overall and 6th veteran
