On Wednesday evening wheelers Martyn Ludlam and Shaun Culpin along with ex-wheelers Reece and Adam Egner travelled down to Orston to take part in a misty 3/4 race. It was a fast paced race with all 4 riders having attempts off the front but ultimately no attempts stuck and when it came to the sprint, there was only 1 man up the road. The lads were positioned well and first of them over the line was Adam in 4th position, followed by Reece in 5th, Martyn in 7th and Shaun just outside the top 10. All in all a great nights racing for the local boys, despite the weather!
On Saturday afternoon ex-wheelers and now NRT cycling brothers Reece and Adam Egner took to Yarborough to compete in the 3/4 criterium race. The race kicked off a little cautious but at the end of the 1st lap Reece attacked with one other and slowly but surely got a sizeable gap, with Adam playing the team card back in the group. With Reece clear of the group, Adam started to try and jump away, covering moves to try and catch Reece while attacking himself. With 7 laps to go, Adam managed to jump clear with one other rider and they managed to stay away until the finish, and with Reece now solo after dropping his companion, Reece took a great victory with Adam sprinting for 3rd. A great afternoon for the Egner brothers.
